In 2007 we took the southern route from California to Georgia, where we visited our niece, Abigail, who was a student at Georgia Tech. This route took us through Phoenix, Tucson, El Paso, Midland TX, Little Rock, Mississippi, Alabama and on to Atlanta.
The emphasis was on history. Highlights were visiting Vicksburg (MS) National Historic Military Park and Williamsburg, VA.
We arrived in the Boston area on March 19th—just a day after our granddaughter, Lydia, was born.
In August, I was able to visit Glacier National Park for three magnificent days of weather and photography.
