Visitors from California inspired a trip out to the Cape Cod National Seashore on a beautiful September day. After crossing the Cape Cod Canal on the Sagamore Bridge, we drove along the King’s Highway (Route 6A) from Sandwich to Eastham. Along the way we encountered an early cranberry harvest and ended up at Coast Guard Beach and the justly famous Nauset Light overlooking its eponymous beach.
