After a short but beautiful drive a few miles up the Maine coast and past York Harbor, I reached the famous lighthouse that sits on an island just a few yards off of Cape Neddick. Happily, it was high tide and the late afternoon breeze created some interesting surf.
Getting the images of Nubble required some serious—and careful—clambering on rocks. With two heavy (and expensive) cameras draped around my neck and the help of my tripod-as-hiking-stick I was able to climb down and back up again without incident.
