On a beautiful March morning, Susan and I drove out on Marsh Creek Road, south on Morgan Territory Road on the east side of Mt. Diablo, to Livermore for lunch and back home along Collier Canyon Road (and others), circling the base of Mt. Diablo. It’s a reminder that there is still some wilderness (or quasi-wilderness, anyway) in the traffic-choked Bay Area: a serene, almost bucolic land that is especially beautiful in early spring.

13 Mar 2015Diablo and Mono: your pictures are flooding my memory of spring in the Diablo Valley and “the other side” of the Sierras. Colors and composition in these scenes are unusually brilliant and make me homesick, Craig. Wonderful work!
