Susan and I recently visited Niagara Falls, Ontario on the Canadian side of the falls. We stayed at the Fallsview Hilton on the 36th floor, which afforded an almost bird’s eye view of both the American Falls and Canadian Falls that together are “Niagara Falls.” All the photos in this gallery were made from that room ranging from our arrival in late afternoon through evening and then the next morning.
This was certainly landscape photography at its most convenient. The major technical challenge was shooting through the window and avoiding reflections. As a result, Susan wound up watching TV in the dark while I photographed the simultaneously spectacular and bizarre light show that occurs on both the American and Canadian falls each evening. The photos are shown in chronological order.
