Chicago on the 4th of July

Fireworks at Lincolnshire Village. As part of the biannual “DeWitt Family Reunion,” a number of us visited ChicagoOn the 4th of July. We took the “Architecture Boat Tour,” which offers outstanding views of many of Chicago’s famous buildings seen while cruising up and down the Chicago River. Later that afternoon, I visited the Chicago Art Institute and was able to view (and photograph) many of its famous paintings. The day was capped off by a traditional fireworks display put on by the Village of Lincolnshire, where we were staying.
