Europe Revisited
Neuschwanstein as seen from the Marienbruecke

Susan and I first visited Europe in the spring and summer of 1973. We returned several times (1975, 1978, 1984). And during my career, I visited Europe many times through the 1980’s and 1990’s. I almost always took my camera and often spent weekends driving in the countryside of whatever country I was in, photographing along the way.

This was the film era and I ended up with a sizable collection of slides and negatives. Modern technology in the form of a Nikon D850 camera and a slide/film adapter has enabled me to capture high resolution digital images of these analog images. I am making my way slowly through the images and will be posting them in this portfolio.

  1. Your photos are beautiful. I just looked at some of your photos from Scotland and England. We lived in Edinborough for 5 months in 1984. It is fun to see the older cars and fashion!!! Thanks for sharing
