The Lake Michigan Side of Wisconsin

Prior to moving from Wisconsin to northern Illinois, Susan and I traveled to the Lake Michigan side of Wisconsin in mid-June, visiting Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Green Bay and Door County.

Photographically, the most interesting part of the visit was Cave Point County Park on the east side of the Door County peninsula. It was windy enough to create a moderate surf crashing against the limestone cliffs.

In general, though, the weather was too nice for dramatic photos of the various lighthouses. In fact, I added fog to the black and white shot of the Manitowoc lighthouse in a futile effort to make the shot more interesting.

  1. Beautiful photos! I never tire of watching waves! And now you have paired wave action against the cliffs of Door County for me. Thank you! Thank you for your very special eye for beauty coupled with your technical skill.
